Episode 233 Show Notes:
The Golden State Warriors are moving on to Round 2, aka the Western Conference Semifinals! Patrick breaks down the W’s 102-98 Game 5 closeout win over the Denver Nuggets. Despite some rough goings โ including a strangely lifeless 3rd quarter โ the W’s overcame Nikola Jokic and a plucky and prideful Denver Nuggets team to win their first playoff series in three years. Stephen Curry took over at the end and dragged the squad past the finish line with a series of midrange shots and impressive drives to the basket. And Gary Payton II came up huge on a night when the new Death Lineup wasn’t really that deadly. In the long run, a tense pressure-filled game is great for this team to experience. Now, we all await the winner of the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Minnesota Timberwolves series. (Hopefully, it goes a full seven games!)
